While Indian’s love their Hindi Bollywood music, that fact is that Tamil music has been the inspiration for many Hindi hits, remakes and has given us some of the most loved singers and  music directors of the Hindi film industry as well.

Tamil songs are not limited to movie songs only either. It has a rich heritage of classical music, Carnatic music, devotional songs and folk songs as well. The fondness for Tamil music is not limited to Tamils only. Once we had to depend on online radios to listen to this song. But now we can download them as well. Of course, copyright and illegal downloads have been an issue of contention in US for quite some time.
